We get to know each other in our initial personal consultation. This gives us an overview of the status of your mouth, your concerns and your wishes.
We focus on your personal medical history. Enter any general illnesses or disorders and any medication that you take on a regular basis on a medical history form beforehand, since these can impact your teeth and the periodontium.
This is followed by the medical examination, which gives us an accurate image of your oral health and allows us to examine your teeth, gums and jawbone.
Our comprehensive initial screening also involves analysing any documents that exist such as X-ray images. If required, we can also take new ones in our practice with our digital X-ray machine. We recommend taking X-rays at intervals of two years.
After the diagnostic findings, we can advise you on possible therapies and alternatives. If required, we can create a treatment plan for you and discuss the individual costs with you. We believe it is important to find the optimal solution for every budget. Alongside ensuring that your child is developing healthily, we also use this appointment to talk to you about nutrition for healthy teeth, the right way to clean their teeth, and motivational tips.
Various toothpastes all make different claims – to prevent tooth decay, inflammation of the gums or discolouration. However, there is no single optimum toothpaste. We recommend changing your toothpaste regularly. It’s important to choose a non-abrasive toothpaste that contains fluoride.
Of course, we understand that dental appointments are often difficult to accommodate into everyday life, especially if you work. That’s why we are available for you early in the mornings and also in the evenings.

There is a blue zone around the Kreuzplatz and there are also parking
spaces on Eidmattstrasse where you can park for two hours.

Working closely together with a trusted dental laboratory, we select the optimal individual dental prosthesis material. With fixed dentures, we completely avoid restorations that contain metal and only use high-quality all-ceramics instead.
Diligent and careful oral hygiene is the basis for ensuring that your teeth remain healthy and looking good. To protect against caries and inflammation of the gums, we recommend thoroughly cleaning your teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste and an ultrasound toothbrush, for example. You should also use dental floss or interdental brushes to clean between the gaps. Alongside this personal oral hygiene system at home dental hygiene and regular check-ups are extremely important.

For interdisciplinary investigations, we can quickly and easily send the data away for further processing. It’s also an environmentally-friendly process, since we do not need any chemicals at all to develop the images.
This small, ultra-modern oral camera visualises images in the mouth in great detail and highly magnified, allowing us to detect fine cracks, carious lesions, insufficient fillings, gum disease and changes to the mucous membrane even in barely visible areas.
With this innovative technology, you can see what we as dentists see. We discuss the images together so you can also get a picture of the status of your teeth. You can follow the treatment steps on the screen and better assess the results of the treatment by using the before and after pictures.
We also achieve precise diagnosis, therapy and check-ups by using the loupe. Fine structures that are difficult to see with the naked eye are shown up clearly with the loupe, enabling us to see defects or risks that often go unnoticed. By illuminating the treatment area, the loupe allows us to work highly precisely.

The dental microscope is one of the most powerful magnification technologies in the Zahnboutique. This specialised instrument gives us a much more detailed view, therefore enabling ultra-precise treatment within a small area, even for very small abnormal findings.

With our “digital oral camera”, here in the Zahnboutique we can make an extremely precise snapshot of your oral and dental status, all without the need for any unpleasant castings or impression.
In just a few seconds, the intra-oral scanner scans the area and displays the findings directly on the screen. The data that it obtains can be used for 3D treatment planning or be sent on to our dental master laboratory to create the dentures.
Our quality standards even include what is called a dental dam. We use this highly elasticated tension rubber in various cases to keep the tooth to be treated completely dry to ensure that the treatment is successful and safe.
The dental dam gives us a working area that is low in saliva and bacteria, affords us an improved overview and prevents patients from swallowing filling residues such as amalgam, all without any inconvenience being caused to the patient at all.
